The software developed by BriefCam Ltd (“BriefCam”) which is being promoted in this event (“Software”) is capable of processing video content through recognizing, extracting and indexing objects and individuals, along with information about the type and attributes of Subjects as well as location and time parameters.
Furthermore, the software can search for specified characteristics of Subjects and present a summary of the recurrences of such specified characteristics and expand any summarized item to present the full footage.
This Notice constitutes a privacy notice applicable to all people whose Personal Data is being collected for the Purpose described in this Notice (“Subject”). BRIEFCAM’s processing of Personal Data of Subjects who are in the EEA is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (‘’GDPR’’) and in the UAE is governed by the Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (“PDPL”). The GDPR, the PDPL and other local regulations, as applicable, require BRIEFCAM to provide certain information to the Subjects about the Personal Data.
In this Notice, Personal Data means any identifying or identifiable information relating to a natural person collected by BriefCam at this event for the purpose of conducting live demonstrations of the Software; identifying or identifiable information regarding a natural person is information that can identify such person, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Data Control by BRIEFCAM
BRIEFCAM is a data controller of the Personal Data processed by or generated by the Software during this event.
Contacting BRIEFCAM about Personal Data
BRIEFCAM may be contacted by any Subject with regard to Personal Data issues at support@briefcam.com. As BRIEFCAM does not have an establishment in the EEA, it has appointed a representative based in Italy, whom EEA residents may address to raise any issues or queries they may have relating to BRIEFCAM’s processing of their Limited Personal Data or this Privacy Policy more generally. BRIEFCAM’S EEA representative is currently Partners4Innovation S.r.l. BRIEFCAM’s EEA representative can be contacted at: privacy@briefcam.com. BRIEFCAM may change the identity of its EEA representative or the contact address from time to time by amending this notice.
Purposes of Processing
BRIEFCAM will use Personal Data only for the purpose of executing a live demonstration of its Software during this event, which will be conducted at BriefCam`s booth.
Lawful Basis for the Processing
BriefCam`s software has significant public safety benefits. BRIEFCAM will process Personal Data on the basis of having a legitimate interest in promoting the sale of the Software by showing its capabilities to people who came to this event.
Recipients of Personal Data
The Personal Data obtained at this event will not be shared with any third parties.
Information regarding the transfers of Limited Personal Data outside of the EEA and UAE
The Personal Data obtained at this event will not be shared with any third parties nor transferred outside of the country where this event is taking place.
Retention period for Personal Data
BriefCam will not retain any Personal Data collected at this event. All Personal Data will be completely deleted at the end of this event.
Subject’s rights to access, correct, restrict or delete Personal Data and object to processing
The Subject has the right to request access to the Personal Data, to have it corrected, restricted or deleted, and to object to BRIEFCAM’s processing of the Personal Data. Subject also has the right of data portability, which means that Subject can request that BRIEFCAM provide it (or a third party it designates) with a transferable copy of the Personal Data collected by BRIEFCAM. All the aforementioned rights are subject to the Subject making the relevant request before the Personal Data is deleted. Subject`s rights may be subject to various limitations under GDPR, PDPL or other applicable legislation. If the subject wishes to exercise any of these rights, or if it has any concerns about BRIEFCAM’s processing of its Personal Data, please contact BRIEFCAM in any of the ways listed in the “Contacting BRIEFCAM” section above or by approaching one of BriefCam`s representatives present at this event.
The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
All Subject have the right to file a complaint concerning BRIEFCAM’s processing of Personal Data with the Subject’s national (or in some countries, regional) data protection authority. For European Subjects or for Subjects located in the EEA, a list of relevant authorities is here: http://ec.europa.eu/justice/article-29/structure/data-protection-authorities/index_en.html. In the UAE, Subjects can lodge a complaint as per Article 24 of the PDPL with the Data Office.
Absence of statutory or contractual requirement or other obligation to provide any personal data
Subject is under no statutory or contractual requirement or other obligation to provide Personal Data to BRIEFCAM.
