Ahead of ISC West, BriefCam introduces a new holistic investigation view and several platform enhancements to improve system efficiency
Boston, MA, April 2, 2024 – BriefCam®, a pioneer in intelligent video analytics technology, unveiled today its latest platform version, BriefCam 2024 R2. Empowering video investigations with new visualization capabilities, an enhanced user experience, and more efficient system performance, BriefCam 2024 R2 continues to accelerate investigative decision making for organizations further optimizing their video surveillance investments.
The newly introduced Maps view enhances investigation efficiency and effectiveness within REVIEW, the forensic search module of BriefCam’s comprehensive platform. In this view, case video sources are presented on a map to holistically visualize the geographical location of source cameras and video files. Investigators can search the map for a specific address, easily add cameras to a case from the Maps view, and identify persons and vehicles of interest across multiple locations using the extensive and ever-expanding suite of video analytics filters available in REVIEW.
“Maps is the latest in a series of features introduced to empower quick and accurate case investigation for the law enforcement and physical security communities,” said Dana Keren, BriefCam Vice President of Product. “Together with Vehicle Make and Model Recognition (released January 2024), Fast Track (2023), and our consistently growing collection of video search and alerting filters, we are enabling more effective policing and investigation for building and solving cases.”
The 2024 R2 crowd counting advancement enables the number of people in a crowd to be quantified to measure maximum and minimum crowd sizes in both indoor and outdoor spaces. These insights empower real-time situational awareness, increased security and safety responsiveness, effective occupancy oversight and compliance maintenance, as well as long-term space utilization and operational workforce management based on crowd trending analysis.
BriefCam continues to deliver innovations to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and maximize hardware investments. The 2024 R2 release debuts dynamic GPU allocation, enabling customers to define camera weight and priority for strategically assigning real time processing tasks for the most critical monitored spaces, optimizing resource management.
“2024 R2 further demonstrates our desire to provide businesses of all sizes in various industries with complete analytics as an integrated component of their best-of-breed video solutions,” said Asaf Weisbrot, BriefCam Chief Revenue Officer. “Together with our valued channel partners, we will continue to deliver impactful technology, openly integrated with an ever-growing list of market-leading Video Management Systems (VMS) and camera providers to deliver complete and optimized video analytic solutions.”
As the BriefCam comprehensive platform continues to evolve and expand, the company remains firmly committed to delivering best-in-class software, hardware, and architecture solutions for transforming video surveillance into actionable intelligence for its customers and partners.
