“Before & After” examples of Video Synopsis for rapid video reviewVideo Synopsis is the simultaneous presentation of events, objects and activities that have occurred at different times. |
Example: Timestamps 32 minutes in 41 seconds Using the optional Timestamps function, indicating the hour and minute at which events first appeared, allows the user to identify individual events, and note when each event occurred. |
Example: Event Markers 30 minutes in 20 seconds Using the optional Event Marker function enables to keep track of all events shown. There isn’t much activity in this fenced-in perimeter but someone comes in and out at 2:54pm. |
Example: Area Of Interest 1 hour 3 minutes in 43 seconds In this scenario, 1 hour and 3 minutes of video was first reduced to 9 minutes 42 seconds of review time. By applying the optional Area of Interest function to eliminate extraneous movement from clouds and palm trees, review time was cut down to 43 seconds. |
Example: Area Of Exclusion 1 hour 14 minutes in 17 seconds Cloudy skies can be problematic because they generate false alarms in rule-based solutions. The can also make BriefCam synopses unnecessarily long. However, applying the Area of Exclusion function reduced review time from over 1 hour to just 17 seconds |
Example: Multiple Areas Of Interest 1 hour 41 minutes 50 seconds in 1 minute 22 seconds Any number of areas may be defined, added and overlapped to define complex Areas of Interest. Here, the airfield was selected and the overcast skies left out, reducing over 1.5 hours to just under 1.5 minutes. |
Example: High-Density 15 minutes in 20 seconds In this scenario, in which purchases were left behind in a shopping cart, 15 minutes of video was reduced to 1 minutes 21 seconds. By increasing the density, or number of objects appearing in the frame, review time went down to 20 seconds. |
